This Week's Objectives
Math:
In math, we are moving on to chapter 3 - addition and subtraction facts and relationships. Please help your child with their basic math facts from 0-20. When they are able to do these (addition and subtraction) with fluency, it will make double/triple digit addition and subtraction SO much easier.
Science:
Last week, the kids learned about conductors and insulators and experimented with different materials to see which ones let heat through best and which block heat. Then they built their own coolers to keep a popsicle frozen for one hour. We will test the coolers on Friday.

We have had so much fun doing art on Fridays! So far we have learned about Pablo Picasso, Matisse, and how to deal with being imperfect! Art is such a great way for kids to be creative, take risks, and express themselves. Here are just a few samples from the last few weeks:
